Detoxifying Spirulina Soup

Light and delicious, this simple soup has a little bit of everything! Fresh, nourishing, tasty, this soup is perfectly paired with a salad or sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups broccoli
  • 3 tablespoon avocado oil or olive oil (plus more to garnish)
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 1 white onion
  • garlic cloves 
  • cups vegetable broth
  • 2 Oasia Farms spirulina pods
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: a sprinkle of chili flakes for an extra kick
    Instructions
    1. Saute the chopped broccoli in avocado oil until its soft. Season with salt and pepper.
    2. In another pan, saute the garlic and white onion on a low heat until caramelized. Add the spinach and liquid and bring to a boil until the spinach is blanched.
    3. Add broccoli into the pot and remoted from the heat. Place the soup in a large blender and pulse until smooth.
    4. Wait for the soup to cool slightly and mix in thawed spirulina pods just before serving. Take a bite and taste if it needs any more salt and pepper.
    5. Garnish with a drizzle of avocado oil and/or chili flakes.
